Help Four Children and Their Parents Survive War and Famine in Gaza.
To the compassionate hearts around the world,
My name is Abdulrahman. I am a father, and like you, my life was once built on routine, work, and the simple dream of a bright future for my children: Ziad, Diana, Ahmed, and Maryam. I was a web developer, working hard alongside my beautiful wife, Maha, to build a life in Gaza City—the city we loved and never imagined leaving.
In a blink, twenty-three months of continuous war have erased everything.
We have lost our home—a new Pentahouse we lived in for less than two years. We lost my job, our financial stability, and the very foundation of our security. We fled on October 7th with only the clothes we were wearing. We never returned.
The Fight for Survival
For the last eight months, our reality has been constant displacement, not knowing if we will be alive tomorrow. We have been forced to move multiple times, most recently fleeing the invasion of Rafah.
Parents understand this fear best: my primary focus is simply protecting my family from the sound of "raining shells and rockets" and the constant threat of famine.
We are living in a tent, surrounded by thousands, struggling without basic necessities, sanitation, or electricity. As a father, my heart breaks because my children cannot sleep peacefully, cannot go to school, and cannot simply play and be children. We have lost dear family members and friends, and we are fighting to escape being next.
Our Urgent Goal: Survival and Safe Passage
Our most critical need is to survive the ongoing war and famine. Our only long-term hope for survival and rebuilding a stable life for Ziad, Diana, Ahmed, and Maryam is to escape Gaza immediately and seek temporary refuge in Egypt. This is not a choice; it is a critical lifeline to protect them from starvation and bombs.
We are a family of six people seeking to cross the border. We cannot embark on this journey alone. Your donation is not just charity; it is the fee that buys our safe passage and ensures our basic survival today.
Where Your Generous Donation Will Go
Every single dollar is a step closer to ensuring my family’s immediate survival, first by meeting urgent needs and then by securing safe passage. We are transparently raising funds to cover the following essential costs:

We have lost everything, but we refuse to lose hope. All I want is for my children to have peaceful sleep, return to their education, and grow up in stability.
Thank you for opening your heart and for standing with us in this time of desperate need. Your support is the difference between survival and despair.
With eternal gratitude,
Abd

No power, and now no gas to cook with.
Update posted by Abd Alshanti at 10:40 pmPeople ask me when the power went out. It went out on the fifth day of the war and it has never come back. There is no grid here anymore. Any electricity we get, we buy from a neighbour who runs a private generator, and he charges what he has. . . . .
